Internationally recognised Visual Artist Jet James uses his art to bring meaning and understanding to a childhood that was filled with domestic violence and drug abuse. His art, he says, allows him to design a future based around hope, and using art as therapy is something that anyone can do!
Jet says that art makes him feel alive, brings meaning to past experiences and fills him with confidence for the future.
Jet's suggestions for using art as therapy:
1. start simple with a pencil or charcoal
2. open your eyes and mind to inspiration... it's all around us
3. experiment with all forms of art until you find one that you really connect with
